sure their offspring are their own.
Geneticists have estimated that 10% to 15% of children are not the offspring of the men who are identified as their fathers. So do you ever wonder why all the mom's relatives assure the father that the newborn "looks just like you."
But, according to Forbes, it gets even more scary:
Consider what would have happened had Monica Lewinski and Bill Clinton engaged in a more traditional rapport, after which she became pregnant and legally stubborn. It seems completely obvious that the unprecedented incidence of oral sex these days--in high school, even--stems from some fear of paternity certainty. Men young and old now realize that, should genital sex result in a pregnancy, there is a real possibility that a lothario suddenly faces a 21-year-long bill for child support--one the state will use DNA testing to impose.
